Admissions
Admissions
Woolpit Primary School is an academy and we follow Suffolk County Council admissions procedures.
In-year applications should be made directly to the School Office.
Please call us on 01359 240625 to enquire about in-year vacancies or entry at the beginning of any year group other than Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception (entry to this year group is managed by the local authority).
Applications to the Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception Class
Woolpit Primary Academy offers children a full-time place in the Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception Class. All children are entitled to full-time place from September and we believe this enables children to make the most of the opportunities within school.
Applications for Reception class are made to Suffolk County Council and you will need to apply by the January before the September your child is due to start.
For applications to the Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception Class reception class for 4/5 year olds in September 2024, please click here.
During the summer term before admission, our new starters are invited to a series of sessions to give them the opportunity to become familiar with their new surroundings, and to also try out a school lunch. Our Reception Teacher can also visit your child at home and will contact their nursery provision in order that the transition to primary school is as seamless and comprehensive as possible.
We warmly welcome visits from prospective parents and children to the school. Please call us on 01359 240625 to make an appointment.
