School meals

We all want our children to feel their best, and we know that a nutritious lunch really helps with their focus, mood, and behaviour in the classroom. School meals are a brilliant way to ensure the children are getting plenty of fruit, vegetables, and wholesome options, without the temptation of sugary snacks. As a school, we want to support you in helping your children develop healthy eating habits for life, so that the healthy choices they learn about in class are reflected in the dining hall!

We have a real focus on being a ‘Healthy School’ as good nutrition is key to keeping energy levels steady and minds sharp. As we all know, too many sugary treats can often lead to a sleepy afternoon slump.

We completely understand that creating the perfect packed lunch every day isn’t easy, and for some families, making changes might take a little time and effort. To help out, we’ve included a link to a brilliant website below that’s full of easy, family-friendly ideas for healthy food swaps.

With all this in mind, we kindly ask for your support in packing healthy lunchboxes and morning snacks. We ask that all morning snacks brought from home are fruit only. Just a quick reminder that our Key Stage 1 pupils already receive a free fruit snack at school, but you are very welcome to send them in with a different type of fruit if they prefer.

When it comes to packed lunches, we’d love to see them full of wholesome, filling foods to keep your little ones going all day.
