Badger Class

Year 3

Welcome to Badger Class!

Badger Class is taught by Miss Baker

6th July 2020

Hello Badger Class.

It has been lovely seeing some of Badger Class back this last week. We have been working hard recapping some of our English and Maths skills, doing lots of physical activity both in and out of the class as well as super artwork and cooking!! For those of you who are not coming back to school this term, I hope you are all okay and managing to do some work at home as well as getting lots of fresh air and exercise.

I am still updating Google Classroom each week with resources and ideas for you to try and will continue to do so up until the end of term. Home learning packs for anyone who would like them are being photocopied and left in the box outside the school gates for you to collect them when it is convenient. Any other queries or questions just let the office know and we’ll do our best to help.

BBC Bitesize Daily Lessons

The home schooling lessons have been created with teachers and other educational experts. They feature a mix of videos, animations, practice activities, quizzes and games.

Joe Wicks is still very popular. Just type in Youtube:  PE with Joe
It goes out live three times a week now at 9am or you can catch up on any previous episodes anytime on Youtube.

We use Go Noodle at school as well. Here is the web address if you want a look:

There is also a good site on Youtube which does yoga for children. Just type in:
Cosmic Kids Yoga

You might also like Dancing with Oti Mabuse. She does a daily dance class based on well-known films and shows. It goes out live at 11am, but you can also catch up anytime on Youtube.

Writing                        Enter http://www.pobble365.com/ into your search bar.

When it opens each day there is a new picture. You need to write a paragraph or more about the picture. You could choose to write it as a story. A story starter has been provided on the page. There is also the option to improve the "sick sentences" further down the page. Can you use any Year 3/4 spelling words in your writing?

ICT

Touch typing is such a useful skill when it comes to using a computer. Learn how to do it using:
